Lecture Abstract:

Iatrogenic dentistry refers to accidental injuries, damage, or illnesses caused to a patient’s oral tissues by a dentist during treatment, stemming from errors, inadequate techniques, or inexperience. Management of iatrogenic dentistry and its complications is usually more challenging and more complicated than treating daily cases. In this presentation, I will focus on how to manage complicated cases due to iatrogenic dentistry by utilizing multidisciplinary treatment approaches. I will show how to carefully diagnose all problems associated with these cases and understand the consequences of improper planning. I will discuss the treatment options for management of different cases with novel treatment strategies to maximize esthetic outcome and prevent or minimize post-treatment complications.
